I have tried a few different floppy disks and I get similar results on this system but when I swap in a 5150 motherboard, everything works fine againīoth the XT-IDE and the floppy are DOS 6.22. I also tried with with an MDA card in place of the VGA with no change. When I did, I still get the same issue on this motherboard. The only board I can pull out in this setup is the XT-IDE. I do have extra cards and drives as well that I've been testing but that gets done on a different system. My setup is the same for all of the boards I've tested, I just swap out the motherboard. Luckily it's been mostly easy things like blown caps, broken traces, bad memory. I have a number of 51 motherboards that I have been testing and fixing for a friend that owns a computer shop. I tested the RAM (NEC D41256C -15) in one of my chip testers and they all passedĪ little more background.
